Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Country Wellness now offers Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). Our new chamber can accommodate two adults sitting, is tall enough for a 6′ adult to stand inside, and is fully wheelchair accessible!

What is HBOT?

Hyperbaric chambers are used to administer Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). HBOT is a noninvasive procedure during which patients breathe 100% oxygen while enclosed in a specially designed chamber at pressures up to three times that exerted by the normal atmosphere. In certain circumstances, it represents the primary treatment modality, while in others it is an adjunct to surgical or pharmacologic interventions.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy provides one or more of the following effects:

  • Advanced wound healing
  • Increased oxygen delivery to injured tissue
  • Improved infection control
  • Increased micro blood vessel formation
  • Preservation of damaged tissues
  • Elimination and reduced effects of toxic substances and radiation-induced injury

HBOT has been used to treat a number of conditions including: Arthritis, Autism, Brain Anomaly, Cerebral Palsy, Cognitive Problems, Depression, Fibromyalgia, Fitness, Insomnia, Lyme, Multiple Sclerosis, Pain, Parkinson’s, Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, ans Traumatic Brain Injury.

No smoking tobacco products constrict blood vessels and limit blood and oxygen delivery to tissues. Avoid alcohol and list all medications Some medications change your body’s response to oxygen, so it is very important that you give your Country Wellness hyperbaric medicine team a complete list of all medications you are taking. Delay due to illness. Patients who experience cold or flu symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, headache, diarrhea, or generalized body aches) should immediately notify a hyperbaric staff member. These symptoms may require a temporary delay in your treatment schedule.

Top middleweight boxer Edwin “La Bomba” Rodriguez has been preparing for his upcoming match against world champion Andre Ward in the Healing Dives 40” Chamber.
